RECYCLING GUIDE FOR MINI-DUMPSTERS AND DUMPSTERS
- We first select the most common and numerous waste materials such as plasterboard, concrete, wood, branches, rocks, etc. This initial sort means we can ensure we receive priority treatment at our partner’s waste processing centre.
- The second stage consists of disposing of any hazardous domestic waste (HDW), making sure that you have not put any into the dumpster by mistake. Should it prove to be the case, there will be an additional charge, since we have to pay to have it disposed of ecologically.
- The last stage consists of transferring the dumpster content after the first sort so that the final phase can be carried out according to recognized environmental standards. Thus will the majority of the waste be processed for recycling, or sent to a landfill to become biogas.
HOW TO READ THE RECYCLING GUIDE?
In this non-exhaustive list, we have covered most of what is likely to be found in your rented dumpster. If you are reading this, you are obviously concerned about the ways in which your waste is being ecologically processed. So it is important to understand that Tri-O-Bac does the first sort of recyclable materials. All materials that fall under Écocentre criteria are processed in the same way at the industrial level at EBI’s waste processing plant. Green waste is processed as compost, while any actual garbage is sent to a landfill. So when you send your dumpster through the Tri-O-Bac system, you can be assured that we always consider the best manner in which to dispose of your waste ecologically.
HOWEVER, WE DO NEED YOUR HELP IN ORDER TO AVOID UNNECESSARY ADDITIONAL MANIPULATION.
All items in red are ones that should not be put in your dumpster, since they may be subject to fines or simply be a danger for environment. For example, let’s say you are disposing of your used oil in the dumpster; we will probably be unable to cope with this dangerous waste material. That’s why we ask you to be vigilant in order to help us in our fight against greenhouse gas emissions. Your vigilance combined with our commitment will increase our collective environmental performance.
Do you have any questions? We are here to help you see things in a greener light!
